About me

Andre Gomes is a world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, coach, and academy owner with over 20 years of dedication to the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Andre began training at the age of 14 and has since carved out a path defined by excellence, discipline, and international success.

In 2022, Andre reached a career milestone by achieving #2 in the IBJJF World Ranking, a testament to his elite performance and relentless work ethic.

His journey includes:

• 4 years in Dubai, coaching the UAE Army and training elite-level athletes;

• Relocated to the U.S. in 2018, continuing to compete and teach;

• Founded Carlson Gracie DFW in 2021, where he mentors a strong team of rising champions and future leaders.

Andre’s work goes far beyond medals. He’s building a legacy through mentorship, discipline, and community impact creating champions on and off the mats.
